Has anybody tried it and how does it compare with the Rex?

I have one of these and a Rex6000. Both have been relegated to toy status. The watch is quite amazing, though. Nearly everything you can run on a palm will run on this. So, there's a huge software library available. As far as replacing a Rex, it's really a matter of taste and whether or not you need all the functionality of a palm. I personally prefer the Rex because of it's larger screen and better battery life. The drawbacks to the watch are that it must be recharged every day, the tiny screen is more difficult to read and enter data, the alarm sound is very weak and it's very bulky to wear and prone to damage since it's always exposed.

Thanks for the input. In the meantime, I got myself both a Rex and an Abacus / Fossil Wrist PDA-watch. I agree with your comments. Still; I think the tiny screen and the battery life of the Abacus will be manageable. Also, 8MB should digest all my 2,500 contacts, whereas the Rex would seemingly not have enough memory.

That thing looks neat just from the geek factor. But yeah, not sure how it would work from a practical standpoint. No matter how careful I am, my watch is always getting scratched and stuff.
