I cannot get the Birthdays addin to work - suggestions please. I synch my Rex with Outlook 2003 and Windows XP. Help! Thanks, Chuck
P.S. This addin used to work for me without any trouble! I downloaded and installed the addin just recently without any difficulty - but it didn't work. |

I'm using Birthdays version 1.2 with my Outlook 2000 and it works great. If you're using the same version, then I would suspect a problem with the Outlook 2003 date format or the field format for the "Birthday" field, but I don't know. Are you using the "old' PST file verion with your Outlook 2003? (i.e. the one that is compatible with Outlook 2000?)

I have been re-coding the source of this Addin to remove old events from the calander.
I have found that for the Addin to work the text "Birhtday" must be the very last item on the subject line and it IS case sensative.
Try adding a test eliment to your calander by hand.
"Test some text Birthday"
You should find that it works. You may need to check that Outlook puts thing out in the expected form, I don't use Outlook to enter the data. |

Oh sorry I forgot to say that you must also set the event to repeat every year or the Birthdays addin will ignore it.  |

I know I'm bumping this thread a little, however I wrote the Birthday's add-in (at least version 1.2 of it). I don't think the problem is with the add-in or how it's looking at the calendar entries, what i have noticed is that with outlook 2003 I can not get intellisync to sync anything other than contacts. All of my tasks, calendar items, and memo's are not being sync'd.
Has anyone successfully sync'd cal,memo, or tasks with 2003 yet?
BTW I did create a new data file in the 97-2000 format.

Ok.. I got it working in 2003... the problem was that
intellisync was still looking for my old data files
