Damaged Rex 6000 screen

Hello everyone,
I've been a happy Rex 6000 owner for more than 2 years now.
My first Rex 6000 was stolen in Oct 2002 (after approx. 1 year of use) and I promptly bought another one.
This one worked fine until now, but somehow it got the LCD screen damaged
I'd like avoiding buying a new one because I'm on a rather tight budget.
So I'd love to know if anyone has knowledge of someone or a place where I could buy a second hand Rex 6000 with a perfectly working screen so that I could replace mine and got it back running.
I'm writing you from Lisbon - Portugal.
I'd appreciate very much any suggestion on this.
Thanks in advance for reading this post.
All the best,
Paulo Smile

Have you tried eBay?

Have you tried eBay?

Prices for a used REX 6000 currently fluctuate from around $60 to $140 USD on eBay. Be careful to figure out whether you are buying a 1MB model or a 2MB model before bidding.

Also, you might try the Vendors section of REX Forum. One vendor has a standing offer to sell new 2MB models for $100 USD plus MAPS, and with the prices for used models going so high currently on eBay it might make more sense to buy a new one (I just about choked when I saw a 6000 go for almost $150 USD a week or two ago: it wasn't even in a new, sealed package).

Thanks for your suggestion Phil!
My previous Rex 6000 was bought through eBay and by then I payed something like $160 too but I wouldn't like to go this far.
If someone has a used, even scratched Rex 6000 Unit (no matter if 1 or 2 Mb because I'm only interested in it's screen) but with the inside screen intact I'd love to learn which price this person would consider selling it to me.
All the best,
Paulo
