Is there someone, who is interested in having an addin, that will calculate the mastercodes for simunlocking any Nokia DCT3/DCT4 phone?
This would be definitely a killer app on the REX. There is no need for any cables or a PC, just enter the phone's IMEI number and network code.
Then enter the code that appears on the REX' screen into the phone and the phone is unlocked for all networks.
It works even on the newest Nokia color display phones (like 6600)

have you created this addin already or are you asking for someone to convert the PC program?
I would e interested in any new rex addin as I believe this is the best part of the rex, the ability to add software as well as be a PIM

AND
2) You have the code for the calculation.
Then I might be interested in putting it together. Send me or post here a short summary of the exact thiung you want.

It is an algorithm mostly based on XORs.
You enter the IMEI (=serial) number of the phone you want to unlock, then you enter the MCCMNC code (this is a network dependant code, lists exist for every country), after that:
- if its an old DCT3 phone you will get an 10digit code you need to enter into the phone. After you entered the code into the phone, the phone displays "SIM restriction off!" and is now free to take any card.
- if its an new DCT4 phone, you will need to select the UEM ASIC Type of the phone. This is also very easy, once you get used to it:
UEM ASIC Type 2 -> most "standard" DCT4 phones like Nokia 8310, 6310i, 3510i, 6610, 6800, ... and so on
UEM ASIC Type 5 -> the Symbian based DCT4 phones like 7650, 3650, 3660, 6600..

There also exists DCT3Calc, but it is only for old phones like 8210, 3310, ...
What I would like to do: Provide a serious developer with my full algorithm to port it properly to REX6000. The addin should be released under my name together with the developers name.
There should be a seperate addin for DCT4 and DCT3:
"HONGXING DCT4Calc/R6K" ported by "Name of developer"
"HONGXING DCT3Calc/R6K" ported by "name of developer"
Using the two addins, one is able to unlock any Nokia handset currently on the market by codes and for free (no need to pay those mobile repair shops for it). |
