Rex cradle problem

My USB rex cradle has a problem. It syncs with outlook 2000 just fine. However, after the sync is complete, and I exit the "intellisync for rex" program, the rex just stays in sync mode and does not return to the ready mode. Is there a step that I need to do when the sync is complete to return the rex to ready mode?
