UnitCalc V0.1 is a tiny calculator/unit converter (8K), and it's skinnable! Smile

Go to http://home.comcast.net/~ceciliachen/rex.html to download the addin. Bugs/suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for this new calculator addin.

Is it safe to move it into Adder or replace original Rex calculator slot using CalcBeGone?

It works with Adder. I haven't tried CalcBeGone, but I wrote this addin just for replacing the buildin calculator.

I made some performance enhancement. Now the UnitCalc addin loads under a second. Previous version needs 3 seconds to load. Please download again from the above link. Enjoy!

BTW, I just tested that UnitCalc works with CalcBgone.

hi GPF,

i've discovered that it is not possible to do a series of calculations without pressing the = sign in between. ie. when one presses 1 + 1 + 1, result of the 1st set of calculation (2) will not shown when the 2nd + is pressed. in fact, if one presses = after the last 1, the result returned is 2 instead of 3. is it possible to rectify this problem?

there's no AC buttom, can this be added. the font in the "display area" is a bit small, can a larger font be used?

thanks for creating this add-in.

Yiming, Thanks for the feedback. I will try to fix it next week when I'm back.

I published UnitCalc v0.2 onto http://home.comcast.net/~ceciliachen/rex.html

What's New:

AC function added
Now you can use muliple +-*/ without click '=' in between
Some small optimization

Let me know here if you found any bugs. Thanks!

hi GPF

i've tried v0.2, the calculation works fine, but the "skin" in the zip file seems to be the wrong one, it's dated 7.7.03 and the name is UniCalcFace1.bmp. there's no square root, 1/x, TIP, A-F ands "AC" button.

found that i'm able to enter number like 0.0.1 or 00.374

when doing calculation, the result will be something like 655443.100001

oops, I zipped wrong file. Please download the addin again, I have uploaded correct one.

As for the strange input, there's only minimum error checking in UnitCalc in order to pack all functions into 8K. There's only very few space left, I'm afraid there won't have more checking for inputs.

Thanks for trying it out! Smile

I'd like to, but the addin already completely filled the 8K space. There's a way to use "library" to work around the 8K limit, maybe I will try in next version(no plan yet).
